Prep House System & Pastoral Care
Choosing Sherborne Qatar for your child means providing them with a strong foundation for a successful and fulfilling future.
Our unwavering commitment to pastoral care sets us apart, making us the ideal choice for parents seeking a nurturing school environment.
House System
The House system is a core part of our schools and all pupils belong to one of six Houses. With six Houses to choose from, it fosters camaraderie and teamwork among pupils, creating a supportive environment where they can thrive. From an early age, children learn the value of collaboration as they interact with peers of different ages, becoming integral members of a diverse team. Our older pupils serve as positive role models, guiding and inspiring the younger ones.
Pastoral Care
By actively participating in their House, collaborating with peers of different ages, backgrounds, and strengths, your child will learn the value of teamwork and collective effort in achieving shared goals. They will also develop resilience, sportsmanship, and the ability to embrace challenges, as they learn both how to win graciously and how to grow from setbacks. Within our family of schools, our Houses are named in honour of remarkable individuals who have served as inspirational leaders both in Qatar and beyond, leaving a lasting impact on our world through their positive contributions.
House Day activities and House Charity Days provide opportunities for friendly competition and cultivating kindness. Your child will raise funds for those in need and develop a sense of community.
Collaboration is a key focus within our House System, as your child works with their House members on projects and initiatives. By appreciating diverse perspectives and working towards common objectives, they develop essential skills for their future.
At Sherborne Qatar, pastoral care is at the heart of our educational philosophy.
By instilling strong values, leading by example, and promoting independence and confidence, we empower your child to become their best selves.
