A WARM WELCOME
FROM THE HEAD OF YEAR 7
The priority for our experienced Year 7 Tutors is developing purposeful, supportive relationships with our pupils and parents through regular monitoring and communication.
The first year of senior school can appear a daunting prospect; the transition from preparatory school is an academic milestone which no pupil will easily forget. For this reason, we remain committed to providing our Year 7 pupils with the highest quality pastoral care. The environment is nurturing, family orientated and supportive to ensure our youngest pupils develop into well educated, well rounded and happy individuals with high aspirations. We are confident that for many reasons this period of time will remain a happy memory for many years to come.
We follow the English National Curriculum which provides our Year 7 pupils with an array of interesting core and foundation subjects in addition to the language option choices they will make. Alongside their academic timetable, our pupils meet with their form tutors each day. During these sessions, they will be led through a series of PSHE activities and projects including the “Fantasy Form League” and “Leader in Me”; all designed to place emphasis on our core values.
Our pupils are provided with the time, care and opportunity needed to develop their skills as independent, intelligent and reflective learners. Each year, we are astounded by exemplary demonstrations of resilience and maturity as our children immerse themselves fully into all that the Senior School has to offer; whether academic, Interhouse or the enrichment program.
