Welcome to the Senior School.
We opened our doors to our first pupils in 2011 and since we have established ourselves as a one of the highest performing premier independent British schools in Qatar. With pupils from over 60 different nationalities, we are a truly international school. Our teachers are British educated and trained (the exceptions being our foreign language and Islamic Studies teachers), experienced subject specialists.

The mission of all the Sherborne Qatar Schools is to cultivate: “Well educated, well rounded individuals who have high aspirations and achieve their potential, in a happy and nurturing school.”  At the heart of what we do are our core value – Respect, Honesty, Kindness, Perseverance, Responsibility and Teamwork.  We want these core values to become the essence of our school, reflecting what we live and work by.

2021 marks a new and exciting chapter in our development as we relocate to a new state of the art facility at the Grand Zone adjacent to the Mall of Qatar.  We are all hugely excited by the prospect of our pupils learning in age specific and stimulating spaces, ranging from standard classrooms, to robotics and Design Technology rooms, media suites, increased sports facilities and a specially designed sixth form centre consisting of three distinct spaces, one for individual study, the second for small group work and thirdly a large social space for our sixth formers to enjoy. These additional and enhanced facilities will mean we can offer an increased number of courses at I/GCSE, BTEC, AS and A Level, providing greater option choices to our pupils.

We aim to create a stimulating educational environment for our pupils, where they can achieve academically and holistically, preparing and equipping them for life, nurturing their skills, their ambitions and their moral and cultural development whilst, at the same time, growing their creative talents, their love for learning and all the while enjoying the fun of school.

Standards and expectations of work and behaviour are clear and high. We believe that pupils should be challenged, but not stressed.  We believe academic success, and first-class pastoral care, cannot be achieved in large impersonal institutions. We offer a nurturing and supportive environment, small class sizes and highly-qualified subject specialists.

Beyond the classroom, we offer an extensive range of exciting enrichment activities every day of the school week.  All pupils can succeed and our enrichment programme, in combination with the other opportunities we offer, is an ideal vehicle for this.

Most importantly the Senior School is a caring, inclusive, family-orientated and supportive school.  Our website provides an insight into what we can offer our pupils and their families, but there is so much more to learn about us.  The best way to appreciate the Senior School and our world class facilities, is to visit us and to explore in person what we have to offer.  We look forward to meeting you soon.
