OUR HEADMASTER MR FAWCETT

Developing well educated, well rounded individuals who have high aspirations and achieve their potential, in a happy and nurturing school-this is our Mission, this is what we are striving for with all our children as they embark on their educational journey with us at Sherborne Qatar Prep.

However this won’t just come about from the high standards of teaching that will be happening in every class, or through effective and ongoing assessment, enabling us to focus on the individual needs of the children. It will also be down to the high pastoral care that runs right through our school, our Inter House system, enrichment clubs, charity work, high standards and realistic expectations that we will expect and demand from all children, here at Sherborne. A Sherborne education extends well beyond learning and academic achievement. Our aim is to develop resilience in our pupils, with strategies so they can think for themselves.

We are a British school in an international setting, that wants our children to enjoy their successes but also to take on life’s disappointments, reflect on them and use them constructively. We want our pupils to live and learn honestly and responsibly, doing their best, to be their best, with a spirit of respect and kindness for their school, teachers, friends, other pupils and our wider community. We want our children to take responsibility for their learning, to persevere with challenges and to understand the importance of teamwork.
